Next up in our Spring ’23 Equity in Entrepreneurship Spotlight: Meet Gerardo Sanchez and see how he’s putting his passion for tech to entrepreneurial good use.
From breaking my first set of computers on Windows 2000 to motivating myself to fix them as I got older, I discovered a new world that I was passionate about. I’m Gerardo, a veteran and software connoisseur.
With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I not only can help boost your online presence; I can help remove the barriers to entry for your business. Over time I wanted to learn more. I attended Tampa Bay Technical High School where I got my CompTIA A+ IT Industry certification at the age of 16. I’ve worked roles as a computer technician and IT Specialist and eventually attended the University of South Florida to study Computer Engineering where I got my Bachelors.
I am also a member of the United States Air Force Reserves out of MacDill AFB down the street. With all of my experience, I have worked to become a top-caliber software engineer with certifications in Security and Penetration Testing so that I can give back to those looking to leverage technology securely.
GTechSynergy is a one-stop shop for all of your technology needs to get your business on the internet.
Surely, this is not a revolutionary service and there are many options available to you. Unfortunately, these big agencies and companies often lose the personal touch and soon you find yourself waiting days for a response to get a work ticket updated or getting answers to your questions. After many years in the industry, I want to venture as my own boss to continue to provide value with technology. I want to be the gateway for disadvantaged communities that are also on their journey to entrepreneurship.
Software is difficult. Computers run software that requires accuracy and leaves no room for mistakes. Even with AI or the vast library of Youtube guides online, they often miss that personal touch that your business needs. The greater Tampa Bay area is booming with new start-ups and I can personally attest to how daunting it can be. In this day and age, technology is a utility and a precious commodity. Getting on the web is important for many reasons, not least of which is that’s your first impression to future prospects.
My job is not only to take the burden off of getting your website launched but also to keep it performant and relevant. I help answer the questions to questions you may not have thought you had about leveraging technology to boost your business.
In addition, I am an active volunteer for the community. As a former band member and lover of music, I am an advocate for public music programs. I plan to share my technology expertise and provide software solutions for such programs. For example, I am currently building a website for my alma mater, Tampa Bay Tech Marching Titans. It will have capabilities that will optimize communications with parents, establish a following for additional sponsorship opportunities and also be a catalyst for upcoming musicians to improve their craft.
My attention to detail, emphasis on customer service, and my ability to speak Spanish proficiently differentiate me from competitors in the market.
You can learn more about Gerardo’s business during his 1 Million Cups Tampa presentation on July 26!
